Ancestral traditions uniting in music, ceremony, prayer and wisdom.
It is with great honor and gratitude that we will be in retreat with Kuauhtli and Delfina, carriers of the Eagle-Condor ways in Costa Rica. Together, they bring the heart, spirit, and wisdom traditions of the North and South. We will gather and celebrate at Rayos del Sol for six nights and seven days of community, fresh meals, music, dance, prayer and ritual.

Activities
Temazcal / Sweatlodge ~ Grandmother Ceremony ~ Hikuri Ceremony ~ Sacred Altars preparation ~ Visit to Paradise Beaches ~ Music and Song circles ~ Yoga ~ Qigong ~ Integration circles
OPENING TEMAZCAL
Harnessing the energy of the four elements, the sweatlodge is a traditional purification ceremony, as a sacred steam bath with chants and prayers. A deep cleanse of mind, body and spirit in the womb of the Earth.
Grandmother Ceremony
A beautiful opportunity to be embraced by the feminine force of the medicine of the Amazon, guided by the icaros, chants of the healing rainforest plants. A profound and sacred time to align with our spirituality, clear and cleanse our minds and bodies, connecting with the invisible world within and around us, fortifying our vision.
We will start in the early evening and continue past midnight. The ceremony opens with traditional chants that invoke protection and healing of the participants. Later into the evening inviting musical instruments, medicine music and dance. We will also be offering the rapé (hapé) medicine and natural perfumes/smudges.
Hikuri Ceremony
These ceremonies are powerful community prayers that aid us in manifesting our good intentions and a path of beauty, by holding positive thoughts, transforming and connecting with the elements in gratitude and celebration. We will have prayers with four tobaccos and half moon altar, sacred water and fire, with the peyote’s heart opening guidance.
On a physical level, this medicine is an antiviral, antibiotic, balances hormones and enhances cell functions, growth and repair, as well as creating a natural state of well-being on a mental, physical and emotional level.
The ceremony will start in the evening and go on until sunrise. During the following day we will receive a closing with the Flower Blessing in the way of the Mexicatl Xochitl in Cuicatl.
Singing Circles and Wisdom Sharing
During the retreat we will have opportunities to gather in Song circles, where Delfina and Kuauhtli will explain the meaning of songs and also share songs for you to learn, for people in all levels. They will share the native vision and origins of these practices, as well as vocal techniques. These are precious and unique opportunities to learn songs and knowledge that are only transmitted orally. If you play instruments you are welcome to bring them.
Sacred Movement
Master Plant Ceremonies are powerful moments of transformation that will be supported by Yoga and Qigong movement practices, wisdom sharing and integration circles, as well as nutritious food and a connection to natural surroundings to hold our prayers and journeys.
Facilitators
Kuauhtli & Delfina are the founders of Xinachtli.co, and they co-facilitate ceremonies uniting the forces of their spiritual lineages, the Condor and Jaguar representing the South and the Eagle and Deer the North. The synergy of ancestral culture fuels personal evolution and global consciousness through initiations into embodiment and ceremony.
Delfina Mun
Delfina Mun Akarâ Huitzilcuicani is a visionary who’s paintings and music interweave expressing the healing, transformation and great mystery of praying with the sacred plants and animals of our Mother Earth. Her study of the ancestral voice has roots in her homeland Puelmapu, Argentina, and is enhanced by her deep studies in the Amazon Rainforest with the Madha and Yawanawa people. Delfina shares her unique voice and arts in traditional ceremonies around the world.
Keeper of the Teocali Quetzalcoatl altar, Delfina travels throughout Abya Yala - Anahuak praying for the waters, preserving culture and land, as an activist with deep love for the people of the earth and the lands that formed her. Kuauhtli Vasquez
Kuauhtli's years of involvement in the movement for human rights and activities to preserve the indigenous ways of life served as preparation for his current path bringing ceremonies around the world. In the nahuatl language Kuauhtli means ‘eagle’. Kuauhtli’s love and devotion to Tonantzin, our sacred mother earth, and his many years of Sundance are an inspiration to many following the Red Road.
For the past 25 years, Kuauhtli has dedicated himself to conducting Mexica ceremonies of "Xochitl in Cuicatl" (Flower and Song), Native American Church tipi meetings, Temazcal (sweat lodge) and Mexica danza, contributing to the awakening and reconnection of humanity with Nature. Kuauhtli has visited 36 countries while actively promoting the legalization and medical research of peyote and other entheogens. He's participated on panels, films, festivals and shared his music world-wide.
